Auto & General Theatre on the Square
Founded by Daphne Kuhn in 1994 and relocated to Sandton in 1997, Theatre on the Square is the life and soul of Nelson Mandela Square. This intimate 200-seat venue has hosted over 3,000 productions - plays, musicals, lunch-hour concerts, children's theatre, and corporate events - cementing its reputation as one of Johannesburg's most beloved stages. Recipient of 24 Naledi nominations and 4 Naledi awards.

Artyli Gallery
Founded by Karen Cullinan, Artyli Gallery opened in 2020 - just three days before the COVID-19 lockdown - and has since grown into one of South Africa's most compelling contemporary African art spaces. Representing artists at various career stages, the gallery showcases painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and mixed media. Artyli has participated in the prestigious SCOPE Art Fair in Miami and champions a proudly B-BBEE compliant, 40% Black-owned mission.

Sanlam Art Gallery (Art Lounge)
The Sanlam Art Lounge in Sandton was the first corporate art gallery in the Sandton central business district to open its doors to the public. The gallery showcases works from emerging artists and commemorates iconic pieces from the Sanlam Art Collection - a curated assembly of over 2,000 artworks acquired since 1965, spanning a full century of South African art and valued at more than twenty times its acquisition cost.

Sandton Library
