Standard Bank WineX 2026: Better than ever before
The Southern Hemisphere’s most spectacular wine celebration, and one of the great wine events of the world, returns to transform Johannesburg into the wine capital of Africa for three unforgettable nights: an unbelievable 9 000 wine enthusiasts gathering for the largest consumer wine event under one roof.
Sponsored by Standard Bank Private, WineX has evolved far beyond its origins – the last quarter centaury of which have been at the Sandton Convention Centre – to become a multi-sensory celebration that combines wine appreciation with art, music and entertainment.
What makes this event a diary essential? You’ll have access to an incredible line-up of 700 wines and brandies from 120 exhibitors – featuring everyone from legendary award-winning cellars to exciting boutique discoveries set to become tomorrow’s cult favourites. WineX is a wine lover’s paradise that brings together the very best of the Cape Winelands in the heart of Gauteng.
The magic of WineX lies in its ability to cater to every possible wine consumer. Whether you’re taking your first steps into the world of wine or you’re a seasoned collector. WineX offers something spectacular and engaging for wine newcomers, bringing them into direct contact with passionate winemakers to ask those burning questions they’ve always wondered about – no “secret codes,” no elitism, just genuine enthusiasm for sharing wine knowledge.
Wine enthusiasts can explore an array of wines so vast that even the most dedicated cannot hope to cover everything on offer. It is a blend of the best – discover rare gems, limited releases, and exclusive tastings that aren’t available anywhere else.
