SA FASHION WEEK<\/p>\n

Two weeks in the SA Fashion calendar year hold a little bit more significance than all the other 50… They happen bi-annually, and they showcase the SA trends, inspirations, and must-have in the fashion industry.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re called the SA Fashion Week and depending on which time of year you\u2019ll find yourself in, it will either showcase spring\/summer or autumn\/winter. We\u2019re extremely excited to announce that the A\/W20 The Luxury Collections is upon us and will once more be held in good old Sandton Central<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From 23 to 26 October, the Protea Court Rooftop in Sandton City<\/a> <\/strong>will turn into a fashion arena that will see the fashion designs of the who\u2019s-who of South African fashion take to the runway and literally strut their seasonal womenswear and menswear stuff.<\/p>\n

\"SA<\/p>\n

The 36th instalment of its kind will feature some of the most well-known names in the South African fashion industry. 31 unique and talented fashion designers to be exact. Renowned names such as Gert Johan Coetzee, Amanda Laird Cherry as well as Thabo Makhetha, to name only a few, can be expected at the event.<\/p>\n

Additionally, this Fashion Week, AW20, will showcase up-and-coming talents from young fashion designers making their name thanks to initiatives like the New Talent Search, Cape Wools & Mohair SA Designer Challenge as well as the SA Fashion Week Student competition. The likes The Bam Collective, House of Lucent, and Zawadee are just some of the fresh fashion labels making their mark on the industry.<\/p>\n

These and other young South African designers\u2019 aptitudes were further boosted by the recent commitment by the platform to spearhead the development of an ecologically based and sustainable design culture by 2025.<\/p>\n

As the leading platform for showcasing designers for the past 22 years, the event promises to be nothing short of exquisite. The best in SA will come together in the four-day exhibition to show off South African creativity in Autumn\/Winter 2020 The Luxury Collections and demonstrate what Africa is truly capable of.<\/p>\n
