Often referred to as a way of life\/living<br \/>\n<strong>Howzit<\/strong> is slang for \u201chow is it?\u201d which originates from \u201cHow are you?\u201d inquiring about a person\u2019s current well-being.<br \/>\n<strong>Izzit?<\/strong> translates to \u201cis it?\u201d which expresses interest, surprise or doubt: \u201cis that so \/ is that a fact \/ well I never\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Yebo \/ Ja<\/strong> means \u201cyes\u201d in isiZulu and Afrikaans.<br \/>\n<strong>Woza<\/strong> which is derived from isiZulu directly translates to \u201ccome\u201d but its inferred meaning is \u201ccome on\u201d or \u201churry up\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Lekker \/ Sweet<\/strong> is often a response and is used to indicate everything is \u201cokay\u201d, \u201cfine\u201d \u201cthere is no problem\u201d and \u201call is in order\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Check<\/strong> is an informal way of saying \u201clook\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Jol<\/strong> is alternative way of saying \u201cparty\u201d or a \u201cgreat time\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Ag man!<\/strong> Conveys frustration and can be translated to \u201coh man\u201d or \u201coh darn\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Ag shame<\/strong> is an Africanism which conveys pity\/sympathy or cuteness. This can translate to \u201coh, I\u2019m sorry\u201d or \u201coh cute\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Sjoe<\/strong> an exclamation expressive of surprise, admiration, exhaustion.<br \/>\n<strong>Sies<\/strong> expressing disgust, disappointment or annoyance.<br \/>\n<strong>Yo!
