Cheeseburger Day: where it all started<\/strong><\/p>\n

The cheeseburger was born<\/em> when Lionel Sternberger, a Californian teenager, decided to put a slice of cheese on a burger one day in 1924, and because it was so tasty, he shared it with his dad, who loved it so much he sold it in his sandwich shop.<\/p>\n

However, the first actual sandwich marketed using the word \u2018cheeseburger\u2019 was in Kentucky, 1934. A year after that, the term was trademarked in Denver, Colorado. That said, there\u2019s no doubt that the Americans can take credit for the invention <\/em>of the cheeseburger.<\/p>\n
