Sandton Central Newsletter - May 2020
13 May 2020

To everyone who has returned to Sandton Central with the loosening of the lockdown to level four, whether you are here for work or running and walking your favourite morning route, welcome back. We missed you.

We’re sure that you found Sandton Central as clean and well managed as ever, and we thank our amazing Men in Red for looking after Sandton Central by providing public safety and cleaning throughout the hardest levels of the lockdown. They are our heroes!

There is no doubt that the residents and businesses of Sandton Central are showing their spirit and heart by doing their bit to be part of the positive response to the COVID-19 crisis. They are being safe, flattening the curve, feeding the hungry, protecting the vulnerable and easing the difficulty. But, if you can do more and want to make a difference, please consider supporting Rays of Hope.

For 29 years Rays of Hope, a non-profit company (NPC) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), has been partnering with our neighbouring community of Alexandra. In response to the lockdown, it is providing food hampers to vulnerable families across Alexandra. The fortunes of Sandton Central and Alexandra are inextricably linked, and we need each other now more than ever. We are in it together. If you can help, please do.

With new information about lockdown regulations emerging on a seemingly daily basis, excellent communication is more critical than ever. Sandton Central’s social media channels facebook, twitter and website are being continuously updated with the latest information.

We are also compiling a dedicated COVID-19 information page on our website as a valuable tool for all who live in and come to Sandton Central. Look out for more details on social media.

We receive many questions about shopping, the Gautrain services, isolation facilities and COVID testing in Sandton Central, and you’ll find all this information and more in our newsletter below. Why not sign up for our free newsletter to stay informed? You’ll be pleased you did.

Your health is precious. We are loving seeing you outdoors each morning, exercising as part of a healthy lifestyle. As you go, please snap the moments and beauty around you and share them with everyone who is missing the vibrance and energy of city life using the hashtag #SandtonCentral. Keep putting your best foot forward. Be safe. Be positive.
