Sandton Central Newsletter - June 2020
15 June 2020
We’ve levelled up! Lockdown level 3 means back to business for some, while others continue to stay at home to help flatten the curve.
Caring for each other is the key to coming through this. It’s up to each one of us to be safe and mindful of others. As the lockdown loosens, we all need to tighten up on mask-wearing, physical distancing and hand hygiene.
As more people step out their doors and into the public spaces of Sandton Central, we’ve placed heartfelt reminders to stay a safe distance apart at key locations across the precinct.
Please also take care when you run, jog and walk on the roads. While gyms remain closed, we can see that you are still taking good care of your health and fitness with more people than ever pounding our pavements. However, we urge all road users to be considerate, careful and safe. Winter’s short days result in more people exercising on the roads when it’s dark, so please take extra care.
Care to know more about Sandton Central and COVID-19? Whether you need information on testing, to find a local PPE supplier, or get the latest updates on shopping, hotels, and transport, look no further than our new dedicated COVID-19 web page. It includes everything you need to stay informed, be prepared, and comply with the current level of lockdown regulations.
So many of you – individuals and corporates – have been supporting community causes you care about. We commend you all for your kindness, compassion and generosity, and especially thank those who have supported the #Hope4Alex campaign. Since the start of the COVID-19 crisis, our neighbour, Alexandra, has been massively impacted. Rays of Hope has been hard at work getting food hampers to vulnerable families across Alexandra. Through the #Hope4Alex campaign, it has provided food to over 52,600 people by 1 June 2020. But the need remains great. Every donation makes a difference. If you can support them, please do.
The Sandton vibe is super special. We miss it, and we miss you. We can’t wait to have everyone back when the time is right. Our Men in Red, our heroes, are keeping Sandton Central safe and clean, and we thank them for their tremendous dedication.
We wish all dads and father figures a happy Father’s Day on Sunday, June 21 - we appreciate and celebrate you.
Keep on doing the right things and keep connected by signing up for our monthly newsletter. Let us give you a shout-out by sharing your news, which you can send to Mahlatse@marketingconcepts.co.za.
