Sandton Central Newsletter - July 2022
11 July 2022

As we enter the second half of 2022, we’re excited to share the news of our latest attraction to make your experience of Sandton Central enjoyable and memorable.

You’ll find a bright new bench, shaped like our Sandton Central logo, at the Sandton Gautrain Station entrance. Not only is it a tempting place to treat yourself to a well-deserved break and some people-watching in one of Africa’s most fascinating cities, but it’s also the perfect selfie spot that tells everyone you’ve enjoyed a visit to the gem of #SandtonCentral.

As we head into July, winter is keeping temperatures rather fresh, but with so many events on the go, there’s simply no time to hibernate.

Sandton Central is pleased to welcome Decorex Africa to our neighbourhood for the first time. Sandton Convention Centre is the new home of Decorex’s Johannesburg exhibition, which is at the forefront of design, décor and lifestyle trends. Design lovers from across the country, the continent, and beyond can enjoy this completely reimagined world-class event from Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 July.

Luxurious high teas have become somewhat of a tradition on weekends here in Sandton Central. Whatever your taste, there is a tantalising selection of these rituals for you to choose from.

As the home of Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton Central shares a special connection to Tata Madiba, and we honour him in July, Nelson Mandela Month.

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are” is the theme of Mandela Day 2022, which focuses on food security and climate change. It is a great opportunity to plant a community or home garden as well as fruit and indigenous trees. Sandton Central’s people and businesses are known for helping their communities, and we look forward to seeing the many great initiatives making a difference this year.
