With fresh energy in abundance this month, there’s no better time to embrace the diversity and cultural richness that makes South Africa so special. Heritage Day on 24 September is set to be extra memorable this year, with Truffles on the Park and Joburg City Parks & Zoo (JCPZ) celebrating the transformation of Mushroom Farm Park with a family fun morning in the heart of Sandton. Don’t miss this joyful outdoor gathering, ideal for all ages.

If great food and a festive atmosphere are more your flavour, Sandton Central’s hotels and restaurants are offering everything from proudly South African menus to luxe dining with a twist. Just one option is The Lacuna Bistro at The Maslow, where you’re invited to experience their Fivefold Indulgence five-course fine dining experience on the last Friday of the month until the end of October. There’s also the chance to do Sundays a little differently at Hotel Sky with their Afro-Latin Pool Party, complete with salsa, kizomba and poolside music.
