NH Sandton in partnership with the SA Chefs Association will be hosting a Friendsmas event on Saturday, 6 December 2025, from 1:00 pm. The event will be held at the hotel’s poolside venue in the heart of Sandton.

The Friendsmas event will be the perfect occasion for friends to gather before travel plans take people out of the city for the holidays. A festive afternoon made for catching up and celebrating the year.

Guests can expect a generous buffet created with the support of SA Chefs Association and live entertainment throughout the afternoon to keep spirits bright. Holiday cheer will be in full flow with the bartenders mixing up seasonal specials while guests enjoy a slow and lively afternoon under the sun.

A splendid spread

A generous family-style menu will be on offer at the event with dishes such as fig, parma ham and burrata and poached pear, walnut and blue cheese salad to start. The carvery will offer both tender roast lamb and roast turkey and guests can enjoy line fish of the day along with sides such as garlic and herb baby potatoes and mushroom gnocchi with truffle. Dessert is a must with panettone bread and butter with crème Anglaise on offer to tempt sweeter palates.

Tickets and what’s included

Tickets are R950 per person. This provides guests access to the event, an expansive buffet menu, a selection of drinks, and a festive goodie bag to take home. Music will run late into the evening with special performances from local DJs to reflect the holiday mood. The hotel is located in central Sandton with convenient access for rideshare and self-drive with ample parking.
