Join us in supporting Earth Hour on 24 March 2018
26 February 2018
Turning off your electricity for Earth Hour 2018 doesn’t have to leave you in the dark.
Sandton Central supports and encourages you to join in this movement of positive change for our environment. And, this year, the focus of Earth Hour in our joint initiative with the City of Johannesburg, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Green Building Council goes beyond simply switching your electricity off from 8.30pm to 9.pm on 24 March. You are also encouraged to innovate with alternative resources that move us towards a solar-powered city for a more sustainable lifestyle that also protects our biodiversity.
In past years, Sandton Central businesses and residents have shown their support of Earth Hour and, in doing so, made a clear statement about their environmental commitment. In 2017, Nelson Mandela Square and Sandton City were joined by RMB, Deutsche Securities, Discovery, SAB Miller, Webber Wentzel, Nedbank and many others in making Earth Hour a resounding success.
We challenge you to do it again this year, and invite and welcome new participants under the 2018 theme of “Let Nature Shine”. We look forward to making a meaningful contribution to the cause, knowing that together, we can create change.
