Heritage, Tourism and plenty on offer - Celebrating September in Joburg
01 September 2022

#Welcome2Joburg

September’s here and it’s time to shift gears and immerse ourselves in the beauty and vibrancy that is Joburg! Aside from heralding the beginning of spring, September is also the month we embrace and celebrate our heritage, as well as tourism, with UNWTO Day celebrated globally on 27 September 2022.

With heritage and tourism top of mind this month, it’s worth noting that one of the most magical things about visiting Johannesburg is the tapestry of cultures, customs and traditions each and every citizen brings to our National Heritage.

Joburg presents an ever-increasing canvas of proudly South African people welcoming local and international traditions that in turn bring about more tolerance, patience, acceptance and wisdom as global citizens descend on our city of opportunity, prosperity and progress. Wishing you all a Great Tourism Month, Happy Heritage Month and a warm #welcome2jozi!
