With the prospect of many South Africans opting to stay close to home this Festive Season, Legacy Hotels & Resorts has the perfect plans in place for those choosing a local holistay rather than a staycation at home.

In Sandton, DAVINCI Hotels & Suites on Nelson Mandela Square has a Pop up Gin Bar every Friday from 5pm – 9pm where you can build your own Whitley Neil gin cocktail for R65.

At The Leonardo All-Suite Hotel, you can join The Leonardo Majestic Art Tours and learn about the inspiration and creation of over 800 original and meticulously crafted local art pieces and installations that adorn the walls of the building. The tours are every Wednesday and Friday from 6pm at R200 per person and end at signature restaurant, AURUM where you can enjoy a culinary experience at published menu prices. Groups will be limited to 8 people per tour in accordance with the COVID-19 procedures and regulations throughout the building. The Leonardo Spa is also open for business and consists of 5 treatment rooms, (including a double room for couples’ therapies), four pedicure stations, two manicure stations as well as a hair studio. In addition to the traditional spa menu which includes facials, body treatments and pregnancy massage therapies there is also a hair studio as well as eyebrow and eyelash laser treatments in collaboration with UniQBrows. Bakubung Game Lodge in the Pilanesberg is offering Game Drives with Lunch for Day Trippers who are looking to escape the city even for a day. This package includes a 3-hour game drive, a snack and drink during the drive and a choice of main course from the à la carte menu in the Marula Grill Restaurant after the drive for R650 per adult and R325 per child under 12 years. Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
If preparing a Christmas day lunch seems too stressful, enjoy a plated 3-course meal adjacent to the pool at the DAVINCI Lounge at DAVINCI Hotels & Suites on Nelson Mandela Square. The menu includes a Chicken Terrine starter with either carved Glazed Gammon or Roast Turkey for mains with a decadent dessert offering including Spicy Pumpkin Cheesecake, Vanilla crème, Nutmeg shortbread, Maple Crumble and Pecan nut ice cream for R545 for adults and half-price for children under 12. Alternatively Parc Ferme’ is offering Christmas Eve Dinner until 9pm and Christmas Day Lunch at R610 per person, with stay-over options at either the Michelangelo Towers or Raphael Penthouse Suites. The rate is from R3,500 per person per night including Christmas lunch or dinner and breakfast.

New Year’s Eve
End the year off with Chef Kalpesh’s new Maximillien tasting platter and enjoy either an intimate evening, or party the night away with our resident DJ until 10pm as we prepare to welcome in 2021. The price is R650 for adults and includes a glass of bubbles or stay over for R1,555 per person sharing, including dinner and breakfast at DAVINCI Hotels & Suites on Nelson Mandela Square.

For a really decadent evening, Parc Ferme’ is offering a 5-course New Year’s Eve menu with the option of a night at either the Michelangelo Towers or Raphael Penthouse Suites, from only R1,430 per person sharing, including dinner, accommodation and breakfast for two people.
